Minnie Van service returning to Walt Disney World this summer

Last spring, as Disney was slowly reintroducing services to the Walt Disney World resort, all transportation returned to the theme park except one – the Minnie Van service. Because of this noticeable absence, many bloggers incorrectly assumed and reported that Disney was discontinuing the service. On top of that, some reported that Disney was allegedly selling off the vehicles based on one Twitter user who posted a photo of some of the vehicles at a car dealership. The post went so far as to claim the cars were being sold for $45,000. Other posts then added to the story by stating that the signature Minnie Mouse wrap would be removed before being sold.

Disney responded to these false stories by saying they were all in for service and none of them were being sold. The company has long said the service would be returning but did not give a date.

Today, on the Disney Parks TikTok page, they announced the return of the service. “Minnie Vans connected by @Lyft are rolling back in this #Summer at #DisneyWorld,” read the post.

Disney’s Minnie Van service, introduced in 2017, is a private car service that utilizes the Lyft app. It provides guests with an alternative means of getting around the Walt Disney World Resort and to and from Orlando International Airport.
