The Disney Parks Blog has given an update on the reimagining of Walt Disney World’s flagship resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

2023 will mark the 30th anniversary of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and the resort is preparing to celebrate with some special touches. Guest rooms are currently undergoing updates, and the lobby is set to be refurbished to maintain its classic theming with some fresh enhancements. As the Grand Floridian enters its third decade of operation, guests can look forward to experiencing the resort’s signature blend of Victorian elegance and familiar storybook charm.

Disney has finally confirmed that the lobby of its flagship resort, the Grand Floridian, will be receiving a makeover. This will be the first time that the lobby has been updated since the resort opened, and guests can look forward to experiencing some fresh enhancements to the classic theming they know and love. The Grand Floridian is known for its blend of Victorian elegance and familiar storybook charm, and the upcoming renovations will ensure that these elements continue to shine for the resort’s 30th anniversary in 2023.

Over the summer the resort’s AAA Five Diamond Award and Forbes Travel Guide Five Star Award restaurant, Victoria & Albert’s, reopened to guests after an extensive makeover.

Also, over the summer, Citricos saw a complete reimagining. The restaurant now has a “Mary Poppins” feel to it. The restaurant has been reimagined to pay homage to the whimsical and elegant world of Mary Poppins Returns. The dining room, inspired by the movie’s animated sequence, transports guests to a fanciful garden setting where they can dine “underneath the lovely London sky.” Decorative lamps and chandeliers add a touch of magic to the space, creating a truly immersive dining experience.
