Filming has begun for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind attraction

According to “Guardians of the Galaxy” director James Gunn’s Twitter page, filming has begun for the attraction. Last month, Zach Riddley, Creative Portfolio Executive – New Experience Development, Walt Disney Imagineering, announced the attraction will officially open sometime in 2022. No specific date was given at the time because one crucial piece of the attraction, video footage of the characters, had yet to begin.

On his Twitter page, Gunn said that despite rumors they have yet to begin filming the next installment of “Guardians of the Galaxy.” Twitter user @squidwardTenn responded, “James are you working on cosmic rewind at Epcot??, and Gunn replied, “Yep. That we HAVE started shooting.”

According to Digital Spy, “Chris Pratt and Dave Bautista have both said that filming is set to start in November for around six months in Atlanta.” The movie is scheduled for a 5 May 2023 release.
