Disneyland Monorail returns to the Disneyland Park

Although monorail service returned to the Walt Disney World resort last year – albeit it was partial service, the Disneyland Monorail remained grounded until today.

According to the Disney Parks Blog:

The Disneyland Monorail has been a beloved attraction for decades, ever since it first debuted at Disneyland in 1959 – more than 60 years ago! At that time, it was the first daily operating monorail in the Western Hemisphere.

The Disneyland Monorail not only serves as a fun transportation experience but also offers a unique way to see elevated sights around the resort, including areal views of Tomorrowland and Fantasyland in Disneyland park and Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure park.

There are two locations to board the Disneyland Monorail; one station is located in the Downtown Disney District and the other station is in Tomorrowland. For guests staying at one of the three hotels of the Disneyland Resort, hopping on the Disneyland Monorail is a fun way to bypass the main entrance and ride your way directly into Disneyland park! Guests who board from Downtown Disney must have a valid ticket and theme park reservation ready as this will serve as an official entry into Disneyland park.

For additional details on the Disneyland Monorail, including hours of operation, be sure to check the Disneyland app or Disneyland.com. And don’t forget – a face-covering will be required to ride this attraction since it is an enclosed vehicle.
