Disney Brings Back the ‘Ohana Noodles After Fans Revolt

Two days after Walt Disney World announced the removal of the ‘Ohana Noodles from ‘Ohana’s all-you-care-to-eat dinner service, the noodles were put back on the menu.

Earlier this week, in a post on the Disney Parks Blog announcing new food opening and offerings, Disney announced ‘Ohana, the fan-favorite buffet at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, would be returning on 9 July after being closed for almost 18 months. They released menus for breakfast and dinner service and among the few changes was the elimination of the stir-fried noodles.

Immediately, Disney fans were so outraged they took to social media to complain about the change. One Twitter user wrote, “The level of getting Disney’s Polynesian for #Ohana being trending under the travel/theme park category is mind blowing for the outcry for how much people love these damn noodles.” Another user posted:

Opening 9 July with bookings yesterday, at this time ‘Ohana, at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, will not have characters available at breakfast, but will feature a strolling musician to entertain guests for dinner. Breakfast begins with pineapple-coconut breakfast bread, Stitch and Mickey Mouse waffles, then a “eggs”cellent breakfast skillet with ham, sausage, and breakfast potatoes.

The ‘Ohana dinner features all-you-care-to-enjoy platters of grilled beef steak, roasted chicken, sausage, and island shrimp casserole served with fried rice and roasted broccolini, ‘Ohana pot stickers, crispy soy chicken wings, ‘Ohana noodles, and the signature ‘Ohana bread pudding served warm with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream for dessert.
