Opinion: The Walt Disney Company: 2021 Shareholder Meeting analysis

Last week, The Walt Disney Company held their Annual Shareholder meeting. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year’s meeting was held virtually. Leading the call was Disney CEO Bob Chapek.

When then CEO and Chairman Bob Iger announced Chapek as his successor as CEO last February, the announcement was greeted with mixed reactions from Disney fans.

There are those that like him and feel that he is doing a good job at navigating Disney through the pandemic and there are others who downright hate him. There are even Twitter accounts called – in various forms – Fire Bob Chapek.

Disney Matters’s vlogger, OrangeGrove55, discusses his thoughts on how the 2021 Shareholders Meeting went, highlights some of the big news from the meeting, and discusses his thoughts on Bob Chapek and how he stacks up against Bob Iger.

The opinion expressed are those of the vlogger and do not represent those of Disney Matters. OrangeGrove55 can be found on Twitter and YouTube.
