Disneyland’s “A Touch of Disney” event adds two additional weeks of availability

Last month, Disney announced a limited capacity, ticketed event planned for Disney California Adventure starting in March – “A Touch of Disney.” The event, would be a modified food & beverage festival typically taking place at Disneyland this time of year.

“A Touch of Disney” will debut at Disney California Adventure starting March 18 and run Thursdays through Mondays until April 5 from Noon to 8:00 p.m. The introductory $75 ticket includes admission, parking for the experience at Mickey & Friends parking structure, unlimited downloads of Disney PhotoPass photos taken during the day of the experience, and a $25 A Touch of Disney dining card valid towards the purchase of food and non-alcoholic beverages (subject to restrictions/alcohol additional).

Today tickets went on sale at Disneyland.com, via a virtual queue, and are currently still available.

Although some complained about the $75.00 cost (which comes to around $40 after subtracting added value items) or said that Disneyland passholders would never pay to attend this kind of event, demand for tickets was extremely high. So much so that Disney added two additional weeks to the modified food festival. The festival was originally to run through 5 April 2021, but now the event will conclude on April 19.

Now as guests wait in the virtual queue an update was added to the bottom of the screen that states, “Due to the popularity of A Touch of Disney, we’ve decided to open up the availability of tickets for two additional weeks. Dates, ticket availability and prices will be released on a rolling basis until the experience ends.”

Disney says “A Touch of Disney” will offer “some of the world-famous food and beverages from around the resort, plus a chance to see Disney characters, shop for the latest Disney merchandise and pose at unique photo locations.”

Downtown Disney District will remain open seven days a week and Buena Vista Street will remain open as an extension of the Downtown Disney District through March 14, and will be closed beginning March 15. Beginning March 18, Buena Vista Street will become part of “A Touch of Disney.”
