How to navigate Tokyo Disneyland’s new Entry Request, Standby Pass, and reservations

Starting next week Tokyo Disneyland will utilize an Entry Request and a Standby Pass for select attractions, as well as a reservation system for certain restaurants and shopping outlets. These new systems will be begin as the park opens up its new 12 acre addition to Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, and Toontown.

Starting 19 September 2020, Tokyo Disneyland will resume in-person meet-and-greets at select locations throughout the park. Guests will need to make an Entry Request in order to meet and take photos with some of their favorite characters.

The Entry Request is similar to the virtual queue Rise of the Resistance attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida currently uses. According to Tokyo Disneyland, “Entry Request is an opportunity to apply for access to select facilities. Guests are able to make a request at any time throughout the day, and will be notified immediately whether the request is accepted.”

Select retail outlets will require an online reservation starting on September 23 and beginning September 25, some restaurants will require an online reservation.
