The Walt Disney World Resort announced that Disney Springs, a themed retail, dining and entertainment center inspired by Florida’s charming waterfront towns, historic architecture and natural beauty, will begin a phased reopening beginning Wednesday, May 20. The limited number of shopping and dining outlets, which are all owned by third-party companies, will follow the guidance of government and health officials. Disney noted that the rest of The Walt Disney World Resort will remained closed, including theme parks, Disney Resort Hotels, Disney-owned restaurants and shops.

Disney said, “During the initial opening phase, Disney Springs will have limitations on capacity, parking and operating hours. Given this unprecedented situation, we appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we navigate through this process as responsibly as we can.”

Josh D’Amaro, President of Walt Disney World, sent an email to Cast Members stating that face masks will be required by all Cast Members and guests.
