BoardWalk Deli soon to replace BoardWalk Bakery at Walt Disney World

Earlier this year, Disney announced the popular BoardWalk Bakery would be transformed into the BoardWalk Deli. Well, the bakery has now closed as it begins its transformation. Although the name will be changing from a bakery to a deli, what will be offered will be about the same. Instead of being heavy on baked goods, the BoardWalk Deli will now feature predominately sandwiches with a selection of bakery items.

The BoardWalk Deli, which is scheduled to open later this summer, will offer guests northeast-inspired classic deli sandwiches. Disney says the menu will take guests “on a road trip of classic sweet and savory flavors from New York to the Jersey Shore.”

The Disney Parks Blog has released a preview of sandwiches and desserts guests will find for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Options include an Everything Bagel Sandwich with cage-free eggs, sausage, and cheddar cheese, a Bagel Breakfast Sandwich with cage-free eggs, bacon, sweet caramelized onions, and cheddar cheese, or a Plant-based Ciabatta Sandwich with “egg” Florentine, plant-based cheese, tomato jam, and arugula.

For both lunch and dinner, guests will be able to choose from a variety of cold and hot deli sandwiches served on traditional marble rye, fluffy ciabatta, or soft and springy focaccia bread. As with the breakfast bagels, all of their bread is baked fresh in-house.
